And when called out, they hide behind the defense "Well, I'm a paying customer, so I have the right." They played the beta, used their trials, listened to dozens or hundreds of others report their bugs and issues with design/systems, and still turned around and gave EA/DICE their money, so that they can then justify increasing levels of vitriolic and intellectually violent discourse.

Posters like Nateo are actually a part of the problem they loudly decry on these very forums ("When will these publishers learn to stop giving us broken games?!"). How many times do you need to get burned to learn your lesson?

I don't want to sound anti-consumer and give DICE a free pass because they did lie, but at a certain point you can't keep blaming DICE for once again fleecing you out of your money. I personally don't get the same enjoyment but I'm not going to keep dropping into this thread or any other just to shit on the game. Yes, they'll eventually fix the technical issues and everyone will praise them in 6-12 months for how good the game finally is, and when the next BF releases people will complain about it and compare how it's lacking against 2042 but still throw their money at DICE.įor anyone legitimately enjoying 2042, great. No amount of constructive criticism or toxic hate is going to make DICE change their ways. I've played every BF since BC2 but sometimes you just need to move on. In addition to the technical issues, the design decisions made me realize that maybe this franchise isn't for me anymore. I canceled my PS5 preorder during the beta last month.

Don't preorder when all the current signs and past DICE behavior indicates another flawed launch. Good day-one sales, regardless of bad worth of mouth, is why EA and DICE can keep putting out broken games over and over again. Anyone who didn't like the beta but still bought it on launch has no one to blame but themselves. New BF launches are almost always riddled with technical issues and there were already a lot of complaints about design issues like specialists, map design, etc with the beta. Anyone who ever played a previous BF game at launch or played the 2042 beta and didn't immediately cancel their 2042 preorder to wait and see how things turned out is a fool.
